In the week leading up to March 26th, www.whitehouse.gov hosted a program where any American could ask questions concerning what the President would do about a variety of issues, especially the economy. People could submit questions, then vote on which submitted questions they would like best for the president to respond to in an online Town Hall event.
My question is: do you like the idea of this system? Should policy-making concerns be based on unrestricted questions that can be made by anyone, or do you think these things should be placed in the hands of the elected officials? How open should the Obama administration be to popularity-based submissions, considering that these votes may be made by radical party-motivated users or people wholly uneducated on the subjects at hand?
